EVERESTAI COPYRIGHT POLICY

Copyright Policy

This Copyright Policy explains how EverestAI protects intellectual property, handles user content, responds to infringement notices and manages copyright-related requests.

Effective Date: June 2026
Applies to: everestai.in
Focus: IP Protection

1. Introduction to Copyright

EverestAI respects the intellectual property rights of creators, users, businesses and rights holders. This policy explains how copyright and related rights are handled across the EverestAI platform.

Users must only upload, request, publish or share content they own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to use under applicable law.

Simple rule: Do not use EverestAI to copy, misuse or distribute another person’s protected work without permission or legal authority.

2. EverestAI Intellectual Property

The EverestAI name, logo, website design, interface, code, branding, icons, platform structure, written materials, graphics and proprietary technology belong to EverestAI or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, reverse engineer, resell, redistribute or create derivative works from EverestAI’s protected materials unless written permission is provided.

  • Do not misuse the EverestAI name or logo.
  • Do not copy the platform design for misleading purposes.
  • Do not claim EverestAI materials as your own.
  • Do not remove copyright, trademark or legal notices.

3. User Content Ownership

Users generally retain ownership of the original prompts, documents, text, files, images and other materials they submit to EverestAI, subject to applicable law and third-party rights.

By submitting content to EverestAI, you confirm that you have the right to use that content and that your use does not violate copyright, privacy, confidentiality, trademark or other legal rights.

You grant EverestAI a limited, non-exclusive permission to process, display, transmit and use submitted content only as reasonably necessary to provide and improve the service.

4. AI-Generated Output

EverestAI may generate text, summaries, explanations, images, ideas, code, drafts and other outputs based on user prompts. Users may use generated output according to the Terms of Service and applicable laws.

AI-generated content may not always be unique. Similar outputs may be produced for different users, especially when users ask similar questions or request common formats.

Users are responsible for reviewing generated output before publishing, selling, distributing or relying on it. This includes checking whether output may resemble protected works or require additional permissions.

Important: EverestAI cannot guarantee that AI-generated output is always original, exclusive, non-infringing or suitable for commercial publication without review.

5. Copyright Infringement Rules

Users must not use EverestAI to create, upload, request, reproduce, distribute or transform copyrighted material in a way that violates the rights of another person or organization.

Prohibited copyright-related activity includes:

  • Uploading copyrighted documents without permission.
  • Requesting full copies of books, paid articles, protected scripts or proprietary material.
  • Generating content designed to closely imitate a living artist’s protected work for commercial misuse.
  • Removing watermarks, copyright notices or ownership details.
  • Sharing pirated software, films, music, books or paid content.
  • Using EverestAI to bypass paywalls, license systems or access restrictions.

6. Copyright Takedown Notice

If you believe content on EverestAI infringes your copyright, you may send a copyright complaint with enough information for us to review the issue.

A valid notice should include:

  • Your full name and contact information.
  • A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  • The exact location or details of the allegedly infringing content.
  • A statement that you believe the use is unauthorized.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

EverestAI may remove, restrict or disable access to content after receiving a valid copyright notice.

7. Counter-Notice

If your content was removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was incorrect, you may submit a counter-notice.

A counter-notice should explain why you believe the content was removed by mistake, why you have the right to use the content, and include your contact information and signature.

EverestAI may review the counter-notice and, where appropriate, restore content or request additional information.

8. Repeat Infringer Policy

EverestAI may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate copyright rules or receive multiple valid infringement complaints.

Repeat infringement may result in warnings, content removal, feature limits, account suspension or permanent termination.

9. Enforcement Actions

EverestAI may take action when copyright misuse is detected or reported. Enforcement depends on the seriousness, frequency and risk of the violation.

  • Removing or restricting content.
  • Disabling access to specific features.
  • Issuing warnings to users.
  • Suspending accounts temporarily.
  • Terminating accounts for serious or repeated violations.
  • Cooperating with lawful requests where legally required.

10. Policy Updates

EverestAI may update this Copyright Policy from time to time to reflect legal changes, platform improvements, new AI capabilities or changes in our copyright handling process.

Continued use of EverestAI after updates means you accept the revised policy.
